I am so BLESSED!

I will always remember today.  The day we blessed Elizabeth.  

Maybe it was her sweetness, the beautiful sunshine, or driving to church with Will strapped in his car seat with nothing on except his underwear (he was having a stubborn moment).  At any rate it was a memorable day.  As I look back at the last 8 years my heart is so full of Joy and gratitude for my kids.  

They are truly a blessing to me. 

 I feel like the day I gave birth to Addy I enrolled in "Mommy School".  The first class was "Intro to Mommyhood 101".  I barely made it through that semester, the lack of sleep, and the realization that my life was OVER as I knew it was almost too much.  Then I enrolled in Mommyhood 220 "Life with MORE THAN ONE".  That felt like an easier semester, juggling two kids, two car seats, bigger messes, learning to share etc.  I thought I passed with flying colors and was all geared up to take on Mommyhood 330 "Life with THREE, plus a stubborn child"  

I almost flunked out of that semester, but I hung in there...

  This last semester of Mommy School has been my big internship Mommyhood 440"Life with FOUR kids, plus a stubborn two-year-old, a newborn, lack of sleep and a new business". 

I am hanging in there...barely.

Mostly I have gained an appreciation for mothers EVERYWHERE, it's not an easy job raising kids.  Some days I fail miserably (and should probably get sent to the principals office).....but every day I get up and go to "Mommy School" anyway.

Hoping that I never graduate.

P.S. Yesterday my friend Emily made my day.  I opened the mail to find an AMAZING gift basket filled with BEAUTIFUL baby gifts. Blankets, a "Mom and Me" bracelet set, shoes and that ADORABLE little white sweater for Elizabeth (the picture above).  We actually blessed Elizabeth in that sweater and it will be a wonderful keepsake for her.  Thank you for your thoughtfulness....we love you and miss you!
