Good Food.... GREAT Company!!

Spinach Twist
This is a recipe that mom and I tried out a few years ago from a "Rhodes" cookbook (we love it now).  It looks really complicated but it's surprisingly easy.  Here is the recipe from Rhodes.  I like to add other veggies to the cream cheese mixture like green onions and sun-dried tomatoes, but you can do whatever.
  • Basically you saute the onions, mushrooms, garlic etc.
  • Make cream cheese mixture with chopped spinach and ham.
  • Combine sauteed veggies (cooled)- to cream cheese mixture
Roll out bread dough (I just used 2 loaves of Rhodes frozen dough-
defrosted in fridge overnight)

Then fill with cream cheese mixture
And roll up as so......

Cut with a knife down the middle and split in 2 pieces.
Twist the two pieces together and let rise until double in size
(you can get the specifics from the recipe)
Ahhhhh This is so YUMMY! Enjoy!

Thanks Mom and Dad for a Super FUN weekend, Addy and Preston
are still coming off their "Spoiling" high! We miss you already!
Also Addy celebrated her birthday this last week and her request was

BETTER THAN "BIRTHDAY" CAKE.......
One of Addy's friends raved about the "Better than Birthday Cake" to her mom,  she REALLY LOVED IT (and we got a good laugh too)!  SO I guess we officially coined the  politically correct name for this cake, and it stuck!

I am assuming most of you have tried this delicious cake, but if you haven't let me know and I will post the recipe for you.  Cheers!

My nephew calls it better than almost anything cake. Either way it's yum.
