Whenever I have the choice between a chunky chocolate nutty cookie or a sugar cookie.....chocoate WINS every time. But I have to say that I really like this cookie.
This one is definitely going in the books! I found this recipe
here, but I made a few adjustments...First of all I added one egg, and cut back on the sugar.
This ones for you Em!!!!! You will love it!

4 cups

flour

1 cup

granulated sugar (3/4 cup sugar is what I did)

1 cup

powdered sugar (3/4 cup sugar here too)

1 cup

(2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup

vegetable oil

1 Egg

1 tsp

baking soda

1 tsp

cream of tartar

1 tsp

salt

1 tsp

vanilla extract

1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

2

Combine the  sugars, butter, oil, EGG, vanilla and MIX. Then Add.... FLOUR baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt in a mixing bowl in the order listed, mixing well after each addition. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and coat with additional granulated sugar

3

Arrange the balls 2 inches apart on a baking sheet and flatten slightly with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until starting to crack. Cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
