This picture (above) isn't great but I wanted you to see what a little peanut this girl is.
We are all in survival mode around here.
New baby, lack of sleep, 12 hour work days for Josh and a deadline for me to get these recipe books done. Needless to say we have been a little zombie-like.
The good news is that we have the most wonderful baby in the whole world! Sweet little (5 lbs 3 oz.) Elizabeth is the newest edition to our family and we are all smitten. She is such a ray of sunshine and by far my best baby yet. Sigh..
Mostly I am just glad she is here safe and sound..we had a little scare in the hospital when she started having labored breathing and was diagnosed with Pnuemothorax, which is a small hole in the lung that causes air to leak into the chest cavity. The doctors moved quickly to make sure that her lung did not collapse.
They had to move Elizabeth from the hospital where she was delivered to one with a critical care nursery, so Josh and Elizabeth went for an exciting ambulance ride.
Lots of x-rays, a chest tube, an emotional roller coaster ride and a week in the NICU...
we are all glad to finally be home!
Elizabeth is doing fabulous and her lung healed up nicely (and really fast). Even the doctors were amazed how quickly she recovered.
Thanks for all your prayers.
Alright I am posting a picture of me 9 months pregnant, so it can go down in the history books. This is the last baby for us, which means no more being pregnant (HALLELUJAH!!!)
Hey this bearing children business hasn't been that easy for me so I consider myself lucky that we made it to 4.
The only reason I might reconsider pregnancy (just kidding- I can't.... and I am TOTALLY OK with that) would be to have my mom come back and organize WHOLE kitchen, the laundry room, and closets. Mom and Dad came out for a week after Elizabeth was born but since she was still in the hospital my mom had too much time on her hands (ha ha). Somehow she managed to play with the kids and organize my whole house! And let me not forget to thank my dad who did the assembling and rode bikes with the kids for hours on end.
Thanks to everyone else too, we have been spoiled beyond measure.
We love you all!
