To ride a horse is to ride the sky.

When Addy was 3 years old her Grandpa Larry bought her a stick horse. It wasn't pink or foofy, just a brown horse with a yellow stick. At the time I didn't think the stick horse stood a chance against the princesses and dress-ups. Man was I wrong....
Addy rode that little stick horse with an attitude. Up and down the halls neighing ever so loudly. she fed it, brushed it and tied it up in her makeshift corral. I thought it was a cute phase that would pass with time. I was wrong again.
Then it was the horse books, she spent hours looking at the pictures and dreaming of the perfect horse, what kind of bridle she would like, the saddles, the ropes etc.
Honestly I didn't know how this little girl was going to make this dream a reality. Josh and I aren't exactly horse people, we live in a city neighborhood and riding lessons were just never in the budget at 35-50 bucks a pop.
So you can imagine her face when she got a pair of cowboy boots and riding lessons for Christmas from her Grandpa Paul and Anita.
Today was the day,
Lesson number one....
And tomorrow the dream becomes a reality
(well almost).
Anita bought 2 horses and she is picking them up in the morning.
NEVER SAY NEVER I GUESS?

This sounds like the makings for a great movie!! :) What a cute girl that Addy is... I love that she is so passionate about horses at such a young age. Good for her and yay for her riding lessons! She must be so thrilled!!!
Congrats on the girl! One of each will be perfect.
Those pictures of Addy on the horse are perfect. How fun for her.
That is so sweet! We are going to miss you this week!
