Freedom of Ali's Speech part 1

I remember a teacher in middle school taught me about the concept of "critical thinking". I learned That I should never take anything at face value, and it was OK to challenge the status quo.  This one valuable lesson proved my education was worthwhile. 

Since I was about 18 I really took this concept to heart.  I found myself wanting to learn and read and figure out what my personal beliefs were.  Religion, health, politics, behavior, science, etc. I never took anyone's opinion and  "called it good" until I found out for myself.

In all my personal study from religion to politics I have found one thing to be true across the board.  Truth has never been very popular......interesting thought.  People like Joseph Smith, Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandella, Ghandi, Joan of Arc,  Prophets, and Apostles and Jesus  Christ himself were all ridiculed and persecuted, spit upon, hated, and even gave their lives for the cause of truth.   You would think us humans would figure this out.......and realize that truth isn't always what's popular...................Hmmmmmmmmm?

Which brings me to the point that I want to make today......

Ezra Taft Benson wrote a book called "An Enemy Hath Done This" and spells out the dangers that exist when secret combinations take hold of our government.  He was ridiculed and and persecuted by many people for writing such a book that exposes many of the inner workings of the government.  ( If you don't know who Ezra Taft Benson is you can look at his bio at wikipedia.com) He had the guts to stand up for what was right... when everyone else wanted to stick to the status quo.  

These concepts that he taught were TRUE, although most people will never accept them, or take the time to understand them.

 But don't take my word for it, read the book, or start asking questions? In all my reading about the subject here is where we are going WRONG in America.  We are letting the constitution  be shred to pieces, and only a few people are putting up a fight!!!!! Remember the Constitution was set up to protect the RIGHTS of the PEOPLE, not the rights of GOVERNMENT. 

There is one person that is truly standing up for these rights, and that is RON PAUL.  He recently wrote a book called "The Revolution, a Manifesto" Great book! 

 

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2nd there is an event going on in Minnesota, called the Rally for the Republic, I wish I could be there (Josh is), but there are thousands of people who are showing their support for this cause. They are broadcasting the event on CSPAN2, so you can check it out.
